Miguel Cotto has not only proved to be a success in the ring but out the ring he is becoming successful as a promoter and businessman.
Miguel Cotto Promotions has made an alliance with the Univision Puerto Rico television network to present a modern concept of televised professional boxing events named “Boxeo Al Maximo” that will feature the Puerto Rico’s top prospect.
“Boxeo Al Maximo is a new event concept that we design for the enjoyment of fans and bring the most exciting bouts and developing our prospects. We are pleased to announce our partnership with Univision Puerto Rico, who will broadcast our events and reach every household in Puerto Rico,” Cotto said in a press release statement.
“In Univision Puerto Rico, we are committed to the local production and sports. We are happy to be part of the Boxeo Al Maximo project together with Miguel Cotto Promotions. We know that great prospects will perform on this new platform and will represent us globally very soon,” said Jaime Bauza Univision Puerto Rico’s General Manager.
The first event of the “Boxeo Al Maximo” series will be broadcast on Saturday February 14 at 10:30 pm and will present the return of the undefeated super bantamweight prospect Jose “Wonder Boy” Lopez (14-0, 10 KOs) vs. Josean “El Tren” Figueroa (8-3-1, 7 KOs)
