New York City to Host ‘The Battle of the Badges’ Tonight

BOB_Logo (4)It is a feud that is destined from the birth of the work career since the ethos of it’s creation in the fabric of bureaucracy, law enforcement versus the fire department. In a battle of 32 years in the making, the New York Fire Department will face the New York Police Department with the teams currently even at 15 wins a piece and one draw.

The event “Battle of the Badges” which takes place Saturday at Madison Square Garden is the culmination of both of grudge match and the pride and valor of the aforementioned institution the fighters represent. It’s a match for bragging rights in the Big Apple and on top of that it is easily relatable group of characters who you could see among the city on any given day doing mundane task we all do as they’re the working class, like most of us.

The money raised for the event will also benefit Jesse Murphy, an Army vet, who lost both of legs and brain trauma in combat in Afghanistan. The goal is create a handicap accessible home for Murphy who suffered greatly to serve his country.

The event takes place November 22d at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York. The first bell is at 8:00pm with tickets ranging from $ 35-60 dollars.
