Michael Mora (7-1, 2KO’s) is one of Nicaragua’s rising 140 pound prospects out of the Prodesa stable. Mora last fought on May 25th in Nicaragua and is anxious for his ring return on June 29th against Daniel Santillo (5-1, 4KO’s) out of Mexico in a six round bout. The key to staying sharp in boxing is activity and Mora does not believe in taking long breaks during fights. “I will win the fight on Saturday, June 29 against the Aztec. I have prepared well for him and I’ll prove it. I’m fine physically. I have never rested after any fight so that I am ready for the next time I enter the ring, “said Mora.

For Mora this will be no easy task. Even though both fighters are prospects, he will be going up against a fighter who has power and comes from a country where “balls” are a requirement to fight and the fact that Santillo had a good amateur career provides more of a challenge because the skill is there.

Michael Mora has been training at the Saint Jude Roger Deshon gym under his trainer Luis Mena with top Nicaraguan fighters in preparation for his fight. “It will not be easy but I hope the work I’ve done in recent weeks sparring with southpaw Santos Benavides and strong fighters like Walter Castillo and Jose Alfaro assure my confidence that I will win that night,” said Mora.
