Nicholas Walters was originally scheduled to defend his world title on March 21st as the co-main event of Terrance Crawford with an opponent yet to be announced, but Walters’ advisor Robert Mittleman informed Boxingscene.com, Walters’ return to the ring will be postponed.
Reportedly Walters was struck with the flu during his stay in Jamaica and has been advised by a doctor to not train for a week. Even after a weeks’ rest, the doctor informed Walters he would continue to feel weary for quite some time. Mittleman explained to Boxingscene.com, “I’m not going to put Nicholas Walters in a fight with anybody unless [he is]100-percent.”
