For the last two weeks leading up to the mega event that will take place tomorrow night when Floyd “Money” Mayweather and Saul “Canelo”Alvarez meet in the ring, the hot topic that everyone has been talking about is the 152 lb catch-weight.

By now everyone has seen the Showtime All Access episodes and heard the back and forth between the two camps on how and why the catch-weight came about, so there is no need to belabor the point.

Now that the much anticipated weigh-in took place today in front of twelve thousand plus rabid fans, we can finally look ahead to the fight.

Floyd Mayweather weighed in comfortably at 150.5 lbs, which is pretty much close to his walk around weight. Saul Alvarez weighed in right at the contracted limit of 152 lbs, but one has to suspect that it may not have been so comfortable. Both men looked ripped to shreds but “Canelo” looked dry as a bone.

As good as Alvarez looked in terms of his physique, will he be able to replenish all of the vital nutrients and electrolytes that he lost, coming down from 172 lbs plus, in thirty hours? That’s the million dollar question that a lot of people are asking.

Will the weight really be as big of an issue that many people are claiming or can Alvarez rise to the occasion and beat the odds and win against the best boxer on the planet? Tomorrow night all questions will be answered.
