Nisse Sauerland, Patrick NielsenPatrick Nielsen (23-1, 11 KOs) faces a tough test in his super middleweight debut. The 23 year-old Danish boxing star will meet the ‘Comanche Boy’ George Tahdooahnippah (34-1-2, 24 KOs) on March 14 at the Ballerup Super Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Nielsen’s opponent, Tahdooahnippah is a member of the infamous Native American Comanche tribe. Known for his punching power and elaborate ring entrances, the WBO world ranked number eight, is pulling no punches as he prepares to travel to the Viking stronghold of Copenhagen.

‘’Nielsen will be shocked when he feels my power,’’ said the current WBC Continental Americas and NABA USA Champion. ‘’He is going down in his own backyard! Going to Denmark to fight, is me living a dream for the Comanche Indian. I’m going show that the Comanche warrior is very much alive in 2015!’’

‘’Tahdooahnippah is no joke,’’ said Nielsen, who is preparing for his first contest at 168 lbs. ‘’I’ve seen his fights and I know it’s going to be a tough night. I always cheered for the Native Americans when I watched the old cowboy movies. Everybody loves an underdog. But if the ‘Comanche Boy’ thinks he can come to my hometown and beat me, he is mistaken. This is my chance to send a message to the entire super middleweight division. I’ve arrived and I’m ready to face the best!’’

”This is a high-risk fight for Patrick,’’ admits Nielsen’s coach, former two-time world champion Joey Gamache. ‘’He’s going in against a top ten ranked guy in his first fight at super middleweight. Tahdooahnippah is a solid, hungry fighter. He is fighting for his people and his nation. He is bringing a lot with him, and that’s what we got to break.”

Said promoter Nisse Sauerland: ‘’We want to move Patrick into a position to challenge for world titles. To do that he has to face world ranked opponents. There are no easy fights at this level. Patrick is jumping in at the deep end and he can’t afford to make any mistakes.’’

Nielsen’s super middleweight showdown against Tahdooahnippah tops the Nordic Fight Night bill on March 14 at the Ballerup Super Arena in Copenhagen.
