Shawn Porter PHOTO 2Boxing on “Spike TV” looks to have a illustrious beginning with its first installment of PBC (Premier Boxing Champions) on March 13th, having Andre Berto (29-3) vs Josesito Lopez (33-6) and Shawn Porter (24-1-1, 15 KOs) vs Robert Garcia (36-3, 23 KOs). Both promising no shortage of action as the styles of all of the fighters on the card are crowd pleasing brawlers.

Former I.B.F lightweight world champion Paul Spadafora (49-1 19 KOs) has been in the Shawn Porter training camp since they started getting ready for the fight with Garcia. “Thaboxingvoice’s” own Sean Zittel spoke to Spadafora on Porter’s upcoming fight and his future in the 147 lb. division.

Spadafora who has a fight against a TBA opponent on the undercard of Porter vs Garcia, told us “I think it’s going to be a really really good performance because of the style I think he (Garcia) is going to bring out a lot of things out of Shawn that a lot of people don’t know he got”. Spadafora goes on to share what he has seen in Porter being with him the duration of their training camp. “There’s nothing he can’t do! people think he just comes at you, no he can box his ass off he puts shots together plus he is in tremendous shape.”

Assuming Shawn Porter gets through his tough test in Robert Garcia on March 13th, there should be good fights on the horizon. Spadafora spoke on the potential Porter has in the 147lb division against the likes of Kieth Thurman, Amir Khan or even Floyd Mayweather. “I don’t see that to be a problem at all they are all good fighters but I think . He has a lot in the tank that people don’t know about and I think the fight on the 13th will bring a lot out of em, and the world will see it.”

Porter has a tough test ahead of him against Robert Garcia if he gets through it he will have a chance at big money fights in the future look for the winner of this fight to mix it up with some of the winners of other PBC (Premier Boxing Champions) bouts that’s being put on “Spike TV” “NBC” and “CBS”.
