Probably the fight of the night on paper, Paulie Malignaggi was trying to win the IBF title from Shawn Porter. The 1st round was highlighted by Malignaggi doing work behind the jab and frustrating the younger champion.
Porter rebounded, smothering and mauling Malignaggi in the second with big right hands, snapping the Magic Man’s head back twice then following him to the ropes and attacking.
In round3, it was more seesaw but Porter continued his assault. While Malignaggi landed some nice jobs, the body work and head shots by Porter did not go unnoticed.
He keep the onslougt coming and stopped a guy that is never easy to stop.
Porter adds another name to his belt and can be considered another player at 147.
