Shawn Porter- Keith ThurmanThere is a lot of buzz going on in the boxing community right now involving a potential monster showdown in the welterweight division between Keith “One Time” Thurman and Shawn “Showtime” Porter. Thurman and Porter represent the two most promising talents in the welterweight division to potentially take over for the recently retired Floyd Mayweather Jr.

ESPN.com’s Dan Rafael released a story several hours ago on the potential showdown for December 12th. Rafael’s report suggests that the fight will take place on ShowTime TV.

Ken did say that they plan on having one more fight before the year is up and that they are unwilling to wait out the rest of the year due to the fact that Shawn has been training in preparations for a 2015 finale. That said, Ken is completely unaware of any actual plans to finalize a bout with Thurman, although he did say that as recently as two weeks ago he made clear their desire to fight Thurman.

The Porters are willing to fight Thurman and Ken has told TBV on several occasions over the past few months that they would not allow any one term to get in the way of finalizing the deal on their side, specifically money.

In the same phone interview from earlier today, Ken assured Thaboxingvoice that they would take the fight in Texas. Actually, he said that they would fight Thurman anywhere. But Ken did say that he doubts they would
