Prichard ColonJunior middleweight prospect Prichard Colon (16-0, 13KOs) has racked up four wins in as many outings through his 2015 campaign, and he’s not done yet.  Colon was last seen stopping veteran fighter Vivian Harris in the 4th round of their scheduled 6 rounder on the undercard of Adonis Stevenson-Tommy Karpency Spike TV main event in Canada.

The plan was for Colon to get a November 4th hometown showcase in Puerto Rico in what would’ve likely been his end of the year finale. However, those plans have since changed.

Colon is now scheduled to return October 17th on the “PBC” undercard of Lamont Peterson-Felix Diaz at the EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Virginia. The card will be televised on NBC in the afternoon, although there is no word whether or not Colon will make the TV cut. Perhaps the only opportunity for Colon to see any airtime is based on whether or not the co-feature between Andre Dirrell-Blake Caparello ends earlier than its scheduled 10 rounds indicates.

Obviously, Colon is returning much sooner than was previously intended, and the reasoning for that is based on the fact that his handlers want to squeeze out one more appearance before the year ends.

If Colon is successful on October 17 and comes out of the fight unscathed, he will return on December 5th on the undercard of Peter Quillin and Danny Jacobs middleweight showdown on ShowTime Championship Boxing in Brooklyn, New York at the Barclays Center.

Should everything go according to plan, Colon will end the year with 6 fights under his belt for 2015 and a total of 18 pro fights. There is no word on the opponents, but it stands to reason that Colon will get a couple of soft touches considering he won’t have much time to prepare. It would be beneficial for Colon to get some rounds under his belt and try to gain as much experience as he can before possibly stepping up in 2016.
