Randy LozanoLightweight Randy Lozano (10-7-2, 7 KO’s) is set to return to the ring on November 28th when he travels outside of his native Mexico for the second time in his career. Lozano is scheduled to take on Yves Ulysse Jr (9-0, 6 KO’s) in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Ulysse last fought in August winning via second round TKO against Ryan Wagner and will prove to be a challenge for Lozano.

The first time Lozano traveled to Canada for a fight back in September this year when he took on Canadian prospect “Irish” Cam O’Connell (9-0-1, 6 KO’s). The fight itself was action packed with a lot of back and forth activity. Lozano dropped O’Connell for the first time in O’Connell’s career in the first round with a hard shot but ended up losing a close unanimous decision. The fight itself may have been the toughest in O’Connell’s career to date.

Randy LozanoWhen all is said and done on November 28th, whether he wins or loses, Lozano would love to get a rematch with O’Connell. When asked if he would want the fight to take place anywhere away from O’Connell’s hometown he stated that he does not care where the rematch takes place and if he wants to win the rematch all he has to do is apply more pressure that could have been a factor with how close the scorecards were. Lozano feels he was robbed against O’Connell but in the end he is thankful for the opportunity to put on a show and gain praise fro the fans.

“I would like to thank the people of Canada for giving me the opportunity to go over there and fight,” said Lozano. “I’m thankful for their good comments on my fight with O’Connell even though I am from a different country most of the fans gave me their support and acknowledged that the winner should have been me.”
