A July 20th bout between Rene “Chirizo” Gonzalez (30-5-1, 23 KO’s) of Nicaragua and Bryan Vasquez (30-1, 16 KO’s) for the for the vacant WBA super featherweight title is no longer going to be held on the same date or at the same venue. The bout which was originally going to take place in Mexico was going to be pushed back to August 10th but a new date in September is being considered and will most likely take place in Costa Rica.
Golden Boy Promotions has expressed interest in televising the bout but no confirmation has been reported yet.
