Less than a month ago Victor Ortiz faced off against Luis Collazo in the ring losing via second round KO. The loss marked the third stoppage loss in a row for the 27 year old fighter prompting his mentor and promoter Oscar De La Hoya to advise Ortiz to call it a career and enjoy life.
Those words seemed to of had no affect on Ortiz as he has continued to train, this time under Tim Bradley’s trainer Joel Diaz. as to how far Diaz can take Ortiz and how much Ortiz has left in him is yet to be seen but retirement seems to be the last thing on his mind…for now.
