Two of boxing’s hottest junior featherweight prospects will be on display on the Saturday, December 1 edition of TeleFutura’s “Sólo Boxeo Tecate,” when Fairfield’s Manuel “Tino” Avila squares off with Denver’s Ricky Lopez at the Georgie Duke Sports Center in Vacaville, Calif.

Avila vs. Lopez, an eight round junior featherweight bout, is presented by Golden Boy Promotions and Don Chargin Productions in association with Paco Presents and is sponsored by Cerveza Tecate.  Doors open at 6:00 p.m. PT on fight night and the first bell rings at 7:00 p.m. PT.  The TeleFutura broadcast will air on December 2 at 12:00 a.m. ET/1:00 a.m. PT.

Tickets priced at $35, $45. $60 can be purchased at Paco’s Restaurant (530) 669 7946, La Charrita 707 -434-8344, Jesse Lopez 707-384-8420, or online atwww.pacopresentsboxing.com.

20-year-old Manuel “Tino” Avila (10-3, 3 KO’s) was a decorated amateur boxer with a dedicated local following and he’s brought that fan base to the professional game, where he’s thrilling people with his ring savvy and expansive skill set.  In the midst of a busy 2012 during which he’s gone 4-0 with wins over then 5-1 Vicente Alfaro and 54-fight veteran John Alberto Molina, Avila will look to make it a clean 5-0 this year if he can get by Lopez.

A cousin of contender Mike Alvarado, Denver’s Ricky Lopez (9-1, 4 KO’s) shares a fighting philosophy with his family member of always giving the fans what they want when the bell rings.  A four year professional, the 25-year-old Lopez has won two in a row since the lone loss of his career in 2010 against top prospect Derrick Wilson, a fight in which he rose from two early knockdowns to lose a controversial majority decision.  With that kind of heart and determination, Avila better be ready battle.
