In regards to the Mayweather-Pacquiao ordeal, many opinions loom in the boxing sphere if the grandest match in boxing would ever come into fruition. Both parties have been relatively quiet concerning the specifics of the negotiation process, but bits of information and rumors continue to surface. According to Ringtv.com, the negotiations are ongoing, so perhaps this bout will become a reality but optimism of the bout actually occurring is not found in everyone’s mind.
In an ESNEWS interview, Robert Garcia was asked to share his opinion on this matter. Garcia answered, “I still don’t see it happening, but I would like to see it.”
Brian Campbell also shared his doubtfulness of the bout coming into fruition by publishing an article on ESPN titled, “Big fights we could see in 2015.” One noticeable thing about the list is the fact a Mayweather-Pacquiao bout was nowhere to be found. Campbell tweeted a link to his article and stated, “Sick of the same old #MayweatherPacqiuao song and dance? Here are the 10 best realistic fights we could see in 2015.”
As time proceeds, opinions may differ or remain concrete, but the general consensus amongst the public is, the majority of people are rooting for the bout to finally happen in the year 2015.
