Rocky Fielding will return to action as part of the Betfair Prizefighter Welterweights III bill at the Civic Hall, Wolverhampton live on Sky Sports on January 19.

The Liverpool super middleweight will kick off the night in his first fight since sustaining a hand injury when he defeated Carl Dilks with a fifth round stoppage to land the English title in October, a strap the 25 year old is set to defend in his hometown in March.

Fielding joins a great line-up of boxing in Wolverhampton, with Britain’s most exciting young boxer Kal Yafai getting his first action of 2013 after the Betfair Prizefighter Welterweights III tournament.

The 28th edition of Matchroom Sport’s eight-man, one-night tournament will feature unbeaten trio Glenn Foot, Dale Evans and Chad Gaynor alongside Nasser Al Harbi and Karl Place, with three names yet to be selected.

Fielding stepped into the bill when middleweight Ryan Aston sustained an injury in sparring.

Tickets for the Yafai and the Betfair Prizefighter Welterweights III are on sale now from Matchroom Boxing priced at £40 unreserved, £60 ringside and £100 VIP – tickets can be bought online at www.matchroomboxing.com or on 01277 359900.
