Roger MayweatherFloyd Mayweather Jr. is just days away from collecting the biggest check an athlete has ever received for one night of work. He will make 9 figures in his fight with Manny Pacquiao, the biggest financial fight in boxing history. With all the buildup and hype, one must wonder what Mayweather will do after May 2nd. Surely the last name that needed to be on his resume was Pacquiao and should he beat him, what else is left?

According to his uncle, Roger Mayweather, if the money is right, his nephew will continue to fight. If not, there is nothing left to prove.

“I don’t think he’s going to continue to box unless they give him an absorbent of money,” Roger Mayweather told Hoopjab.com. “If they don’t do that, what is he going to fight for? If they give him the money, he’ll probably consider fighting for a little while. But it’s just time now, it’s just time. We are going to see what he’s going to do one way or the other. If they’re going to give him big money to box, he going to box, if they don’t, he’s not.”

Fighting anyone but Pacquiao would be a drop-off, it would be vice versa for Pacquiao. His uncle Roger Mayweather says as long as there’s a big check coming, his nephew will adapt to whoever they put in front of him.

“Amir Khan, he got about 3 of 4 fights, I seen Keith Thurman one time, if that’s the case, I’m sure they could pull out the money,” Roger Mayweather said. “He’s (Thurman) is a good fighter but if they want to find out the truth you got to put that money up. My nephew adapts; he adapt more when he’s getting paid. They say Amir Khan and this guy, we going to see after this fight to determine what he’s going to fight. He’s got one fight to left after this.”
