Roman Gonzalez is a calm person inside and outside the ring. He speaks gently and politely and even though his words are calm, his face if full of anxiety due to the uncertainty of not knowing who or when he will fight again. Even though he is unaware of his next fight, he continues to train. What else can the guy do? Hard work and activity pays off in the end.

It was expected for Gonzalez to return in September but Gonzalez has stated that he hopes to be fighting in November. November couldn’t come soon enough for Gonzalez since he has fought only once this year.

“I am getting ready for any fight that many come up,” says Gonzalez.
Gonzalez feels the time off is doing him no good and not being able to land a fight against 108 pound WBA regular champion Kazuto Ioka is frustrating.

Money is not an issue with Gonzalez as money can be made no matter who he fights but competition is what he seeks. “Let’s go look for fights with the 112 pound champions because at 108 pounds nobody wants to fight me.”
