Roman Gonzalez Successful In a Heavier Weight Class But Will He Be Able To Return To 108 Pounds?

On Saturday, May 25th in España, Managua, Nicaragua Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez made his long awaited debut over 108 pounds against Ronald Barrera from Colombia in a fight that was scheduled to have a maximum weight of 113 pounds. Barrera went down in the fifth round and Gonzalez secured a victory within five.

On Friday, prior to the fight, both fighters weighed in above the weight limit at 116 pounds which pushed them above super flyweight leaving one to question, if Gonzalez would be able to return to 108 pounds  after failing to make the 113 pound weight limit.
