Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez had the biggest night of his career when he made his worldwide appearance on HBO’S Boxing After Dark. The lights couldn’t have shined brighter for the Nicaraguan superstar when he disposed of former world champion Edgar Sosa in less than six minutes. Boxing fans were happy with Gonzalez performance, and HBO announcers want to see him back but when will it happen?
Rumors have circulated around the Internet that Gonzalez will more than likely return to the ring in August against former world champion Giovani Segura. Gonzalez will more than likely land on HBO which would be great for fight fans if it happens. According to Gonzalez manager/lawyer Carlos Bandon that Segura had not been discussed as an opponent, but an August return has.
“I know [a fight with Segura] is what they are saying but we have not even contacted [Segura’s people ],” said Blandon. “We talked yesterday about returning in August , but we have not talked about Segura.”
