Gabriel-Rosado-Team-R9-530x317Gabriel Rosado the Philadelphia native began boxing at the age of 18. Due to his late start, he suffered a few losses in the early stages of his professional career. As the years went by Rosado continued to polish his skills, and was unafraid of stepping into the ring with any opponent. Rosado has already faced top tier fighters such as Gennady Golovkin and Peter Quillin. Despite losing these two fights, he is probably one of the toughest opponents either man has fought.

As Rosado continues to grow as a fighter, he will have another tough challenger in his upcoming bout. According to Kevin Iole, Oscar De La Hoya plans to have Rosado and David Lemieux square off at the Barclays Center on December 6. Despite Lemieux being relatively under the radar, this is a great fight.

Lemeiux, who’s also a young fighter in progress, has obtained a few losses early in his career. At age 25 he shows great upside, and is continuously sharpening his skills. His 88% knockout ratio perfectly describes his style of fighting. He is a very fan friendly fighter, with plenty of power in either hand and only goes forward. Boxing fans have shown disappointment when James Kirkland decided pull out of the fight with Rosado, but the Canadian native Lemeiux is a great replacement.

Both fighters are young and motivated, and want to continue their forward momentum in their careers. A win for Lemeiux would help catapult his career in America. A loss for Rosado will be a major setback in his career.  This bout has entertainment written all over it. The fight is set to air on the HBO network, and will be under Golden Boy Promotions.
