downloadRoy Jones Jr. has been many things amongst his hall of fame career, but as of now he is a man of many hats. Jones plans to continue his role with HBO as a commentator along with training as professional fighter. “It would be pretty awesome if I could, fight, commentate and work a corner all in the same night, that would be pretty awesome,” Jones said.

Jones was last seen in action knocking out an unknown fighter named Hany Atiyo in Russia. Prior to that he scored a knockout win over Courtney Fry placing him in an advantageous position even at 45 years old, Jones is one of the biggest names in the cruiserweight division and  with his recent string of victories he will more than likely be primed for a high ranking as long as he continues to win, even if the competition is less than stellar.

“I would love to give the fans what they want [in the United States], but for that to happen the networks have to get behind me.” Even at his advanced age, Jones believes he still has it and believes that he can still put together some good fights.

As for Jones on HBO, he has become a fixture replacing the beloved Emmanuel Stewart after his death in 2012 sharing commentating duties with Andre Ward.
