This Friday August 9th at the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California Heavyweight knockout phenom and rising star Deontay Wilder (28-0 28KOs) takes on Siarhei Liakhovich (25-5 16K0s). Wilders has captivated fans with a record of 28 wins, 28 by way of knockout. His outstanding KO percentage has many talking about him being the next great American Heavyweight but he will have quite the test in Liakhovich if he wants to keep his streak alive. Liakhovich is a veteran in the sport and has shown vulnerability before, but he will try and stand his ground and expose Wilder.

Also featured on the broadcast is a Junior Lightweight showdown between undefeated fighters Francisco Vargas (16-0 13KOs) and Brandon Bennett (16-0 7KOs) in a 10 round contest. Vargas in his last time out stopped Cristian Arrazola in three rounds. Bennett is jumping back into the ring one month after walking away with a unanimous decision victory of Arturo Santiago back in July.

Opening the night of action Jermall Charlo (14-0 10KOs) goes up against Antwone Smith (23-4 12K0s). Charlo has strung together 8 straight wins without going to the judges’ cards either retiring his opponent or knocking them out. Smith last fought legendary fighter Jose Luis Castillo back in February and is no stranger to upsetting rising undefeated prospects (ask Ronald Cruz).
