Calgary’s Steve “The Dragon” Claggett is one of Canada’s more action packed fighters. Win, lose or draw Claggett enters the ring with the intention of throwing lots of punches and hurting opponents to the body. Needless to say you will not be bored watching one of his fights.

Claggett fought last in May in a grudge rematch against Mathieu Germain in Quebec. He lost an entertaining split decision to Germain and no one was harder to Claggett on that loss than himself. Claggett took little to no time off and went back to training right away. Boxing is his life and improving as a fighter is of the utmost importance to him along with getting a victory.

With that loss in the rearview Claggett is moving on and will fight August 27th in Cuernavaca, Mexico. His opponent will be Emanuel Lopez.

Lopez has lost his last three bouts by stoppage but is an experienced opponent that can help Claggett back in the swing of things and prepare him for something bigger and better. Claggett will not look past Lopez but one can assume that if all goes well the next step is already in the works.
