0In a fight that many have wondered would ever take place, Bermane Stiverne-Deontay Wilder looks like it’s coming together according to Dan Rafael of ESPN.com.

After multiple cancellations of a purse bid and a possible contract and offer from Roc Nation, it seems that both sides are coming together to make the fight without the purse bid. According to Rafael, the main issue was Stiverne coming to an agreement with his promoter Don King. His manager Camile Estephan told Rafael, “I made a deal with King that we’re very satisfied with financially, but we are still very anxious to get a date for the fight and a site. I can’t speculate about Wilder but I think it’s time for him and his team to stop talking and make the fight.”

Now that one side is on board, it seems like the other side has to come along with Wilder and that usually means Al Haymon. Estephan hopes the fight can be made and told Rafael the fight will happen late this year or early next.

“Don still doesn’t know the site or the date but in our agreement the fight is supposed to be either in December or in the first quarter of next year,” stated Estephan. “I have made a proposal to Don to bring the fight to Quebec City [Stiverne grew up in Canada]. He likes it but he can’t give me a commitment yet.”
