Super bantamweight prospect Adam Lopez (13-0, 6KOs) is on the verge of becoming a dangerous contender. Lopez made four appearances in 2015 and is scheduled to fight once more this year on December 12th in San Antonio. Not only will Lopez be fighting in his hometown of San Antonio on December 12th, but the date actually coincides with his birthdate.
As busy as Lopez has stayed, he is not planning on slowing down and his promoter, GH3, is giving him as much as he can handle by securing his 2016 debut.
In his first appearance next year, Lopez will take the next step in his journey towards title contender when he headlines a Showtime card on January 22nd, presumably a ShoBox: The New Generation card considering the date is a Friday.
This will be Lopez’s first televised headliner and the card will likely take place in Texas although the exact city is still unknown.
As far as the opponent, the decision was made not to finalize anything with the December 12th card looming and even though they have theoretically secured an opponent, they will not make any announcements until the contracts come in, which will presumably happen sometime after Adam’s next outing.
Speaking with Team Lopez, they are hopeful the card lands in San Antonio, but either way they realize how big the opportunity is and want to make the most of it.
