YouTuber’s in boxing…is it good or bad for the sport?
The boxing community is pretty divided on the subject. There are several that think it’s good because it introduces more people to the sport. The more eyes the better. Then there are several that believe it’s a disgrace not just to the sport but a slap in the face to the fighters that have dedicated their lives to it.
Teofimo Lopez does not like the idea of these internet guys tainting the sport. Lopez himself has given a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to the sport ever since he was a little kid so to say it bothers him would be an understatement.
“Stop this YouTuber Boxing. Stop diminishing the sport that we’ve worked so hard for! Shit not sweet,” stated Lopez via Twitter.
Lopez himself has done well promoting himself on social media but the difference is he is established. He has fought and beaten the best and his work in the ring should be able to do more for him than going viral.
