Matchroom Sport have parted company with Tom Stalker following the expiration of his promotional agreement. The Liverpool man had five fights after turning pro in January before suffering an arm injury in July that required surgery and led to an extended period on the sidelines.

“It has been great working with Tom and we wish him all the best for the future,” said promoter Eddie Hearn.

Matchroom now team up with promoter Dave Coldwell and exciting unbeaten Liverpool star Robbie Davies Jnr. Davies has moved impressively to 4-0 and featured recently on Matchroom’s Liverpool Olympia show in September.

“I’ve been really impressed with Robbie and I know Dave rates home highly,” said Hearn. “We are looking forward to being involved in his journey.”

Coldwell added: “I’m delighted to be working with Eddie and Matchroom with Robbie, he’s a young fighter that I believe has huge potential and crossover appeal. This link up gives Robbie the Sky Sports platform to show a huge audience what those of us that have seen him already believe.”
