Tha Boxing Voice is back this Thursday with another great show. Tyson Fury, Jose Benavidez Jr., and Randall Bailey will be joining us as our special guests.

British heavyweight, Tyson Fury has been considered by many to be the next heir apparent to the throne of the Klitschko brothers. Fury is an imposing figure standing at 6’ 9” and weighing 245 lbs. He scored the biggest win of his career back in July of 2011 over former WBC Heavyweight Challenger, Dereck Chisora, winning a twelve round unanimous decision. Since then Fury has reeled off four straight knockout victories in a row. Many boxing fans have been waiting a long time for the next great American heavyweight to emerge and challenge the Klitschkos. They may have to wait a little longer if Tyson Fury has anything to say about it.

Jose Benavidez Jr. has often been called one of the future stars of the sport by many boxing experts. He was an eleven time national champion, qualifying for the Junior Olympics and earning a spot on the U.S. National Team. Benavidez Jr. is the youngest ever Golden Gloves Champion, winning the 2009 National Golden Gloves Tournament at only sixteen years old. He is currently 16-0 with 13 knockouts as a professional and is trained by the four time Trainer of the Year, Freddie Roach, who has called Benavidez Jr. his best prospect. Benavidez will be in action this Saturday as he takes on Pavel Miranda at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California.

Randall “The Knock Out King” Bailey is coming off of his eleventh round “Cinderella Story” come from behind victory over the heavily favored top welterweight contender, Mike “Machine Gun” Jones, winning the vacant IBF Welterweight Title last June. The hard punching Bailey has had a tumultuous career thus far. He has come up short in many of his big fights, but all that seems to be behind him now. Finally all of the hard work and perseverance has paid off, and he has achieved his dream of becoming a world champion. But, he has no time to rest on his laurels just yet because another tough challenge is right around the corner. Bailey will face the former WBC/IBF Light Welterweight Champion Devon Alexander at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on Oct. 20. Once again Bailey will play the role of the underdog as takes on the highly the skilled slick southpaw Alexander. We shall see if the “Cinderella Story” can happen twice this year for Bailey.
