Tyson Fury vowed to knock out former two-time world cruiserweight champion Steve “USS” Cunningham when they meet in their official IBF world heavyweight title eliminator live at The Theater,Madison Square Garden, this Saturday, April 20th.

In the biggest fight of Tyson’s career to date, making his US debut, the young 6’9” heavyweight looked all business as he stared down Cunningham (25-2, 12 KOs) at their final press conference at Legends Bar, New York, yesterday.

“All I’m going to do is run you through the fight – Fury comes out jabbing, Cunningham’s running around the ring and BOOM! Spark out!” Tyson said.

“That’s all you’re going to hear. Game over.

“That’s all I have to say, no more talking, the fight is here, let’s get it on, no more playing.”

Fury and his team have based their training camp at Casino Lac-Leamy, Ottawa,Canada, ahead of the contest, where they have had access to state of the art training facilities and running trails.

Boasting a perfect record of 20-0, with 14 knockouts, Tyson will be aiming to show everyone that he is ready for that world title.

“I think I’m just going to dominate him, I’m just too big for him – a cat and a ball of wool, that’s what I’m expecting,” Tyson said.

“It’s a cat and mouse job – cat always wins.

“I’m expecting him to come and have a fight and go home with his paycheck, just like the rest of them do, 20 have been in the ring and this guy is no different.”

Cunningham, however, seemed unfazed and self-assured in his ability.

“It’s a great challenge – you guys got to check my resumé – you’ll see I’ve  fought top cruiserweight after cruiserweight and it wasn’t prestigious, there wasn’t any limelight behind me, nobody knew me – I’m flying to New York, I’m flying to South  Africa, going to Poland, Germany – I’m just doing what I do,” Cunningham said.

“This is what I do people, this is what I do, with the fame or without and now I’m going to do it with the lights on us, NBC on us, all America watching, the world watching – I’m going to do it.

“He wants to be a star, you know, so this is where you become a star; The Theater at Madison Square Garden and I want to perform like a star myself so that makes for a good fight.

“A lot of people didn’t take this fight from what we heard, nobody wants to go into a fight where the odds are stacked against you, but I believe you can do all things through Christ and that strengthens me.

“I’ve done stuff like this before and I’m just ready to go to work.”

This is a fight card that every fight fan has the opportunity to see and one no fight fan will want to miss.
