Uprising Promotions A Boxing Explosion Part 2 Preview

Many fighters nowadays want to not only do battle in the ring, but promote boxing cards themselves, bringing their own knowledge of the fight game to the other side of the coin. Undefeated light heavyweight Ronson Frank (17-0 9KO’s), originally from Guyana; has made it his mission to put the gloves on and do battle in the promotional arena giving young, up and coming fighters the chance to showcase their talent unlike the card he has been dealt in his almost eight year career.  Luckily for 16 professional boxers they will have the chance to show off their skills and do battle this Friday June 14th at the Five Star Banquet Hall in Long Island City, NY on a card called “A Boxing Explosion part 2”, eight bouts that should definitely grab local New York fight fan’s attention.

 

With eight match ups spread out from super bantamweight all the way to cruiserweight, attendees should catch plenty of action come fight night. Headlining the packed card will be a six round super middleweight bout between Newton Kidd (7-8-2  4KO’s) from Saint Mary Parish, Jamaica and now fighting out of the Bronx, against Queens, NY native Borngod Washington (3-12 1KO) in a bout sure to result in a KO win for either man. The co-feature of the night will be a female bout and rematch between super flyweights Susan Reno (1-1 0KO’s) and Vanessa “Lil Gladiator” Greco (1-2-2 0KO’s) in a matchup of tough New York ladies looking to settle a score.

 

Supporting matchups for the night will include various prospects and local fighters like cruiserweight Armin “The Bosnian Prince” Mrkanovic (5-2 3KO’s) who will look to string together his second win in a row as he faces Eric George (0-2) in a four round bout that can easily make or break either fighter’s young career. Also on the card New York’s Pete Reyes (1-0 1KO) tries to continue his rise and get another knockout victory over unlucky Arizona native Gustavo Medina (1-4-1 0KO’s) who last month had a tough fight at another venue in Queens. In another rematch junior welterweight Danny “El Gallo” Gonzalez (3-0 1KO) of Queens,NY; looks to provide no doubts about his first victory as he takes on tough Anthony Smith (1-2 0KO’s) of nearby Brooklyn in a four round battle.

 

Guyanese import Trevis Hall (2-1-1 1KO) looks to get back to his winning ways when he battles against Puerto Rican Jose Del Valle (0-1-2) in a four round super bantamweight fight. Undefeated Brooklyn-bred fighter Akil Auguste (2-0 2KO’s) wants to keep his knockout streak intact in front of his hometown fans when he steps in to the ring against the motivated Carlos Lopez (0-1-1) over four rounds in a middleweight matchup. Starting the festivities will be another females boxing match and battle of Jennifers with Jennifer Santiago (2-0 0KO’s) of Brooklyn taking on Jennifer Scott (3-4 2KO’s) of Warren, OH over four fast paced super bantamweight rounds.

 

With a mix of boxing hopefuls and genuine future prospects, Ronson Frank has put together a pretty decent card that is sure to entertain boxing fans in a very classy setting.
