Nationally-televised championship boxing returns to the Turning Stone Resort Casino Event Center with ESPN Friday Night Fights January 25, 2013.  In the 12 round Main Event, NABO Middleweight Champion Brian Vera (21-6-0, 12 KOs) of Austin, Texas defends his title against former WBO Jr. Middleweight World Champion Sergiy “Razor” Dzinziruk (37-1-1, 24 KOs) of Ukraine.

Vera, currently ranked #4 in the WBO Middleweight division, won the NABO title in August.  Dzinziruk fought to a draw against Jonathan Gonzalez (15-0-1, 13 KOs) at Turning Stone September 1 on HBO’s “Boxing After Dark.”

The Co-feature Jr. Welterweight bout puts Tony “Lightning” Luis (15-0, 7 KOs) of Cornwall, Ontario, Canada up against Miguel “Silky Smooth” Gonzalez (20-3, 15 KOs) of Cleveland, Ohio.  Luis scored a first round knockout of Andres Ledesma at Turning Stone September 1.  Gonzalez suffered his first loss in 15 fights in a unanimous decision against Mike Dallas, Jr. (19-2-1, 8 KO) in February.

Promoter Greg Cohen of Greg Cohen Promotions said, “We are thrilled to be back at Turning Stone for the third time in four months. Turning Stone’s commitment to hosting championship level nationally-televised events has quickly made it a premier East Coast venue for boxing. GCP and Banner Promotions promote shows all over the world and Turning Stone is my favorite place to hold an event bar none. January 25th will be another terrific night of boxing for the fans.  You definitely don’t want to miss it!”

Promoters plan to announce the undercard at a later date.  All bouts are subject to change.

Doors open at the Turning Stone Resort Casino Event Center at 6:30 p.m. Friday, January 25 with the first undercard bout starting at 7:30 p.m. The live ESPN2 telecast begins at 9 p.m.
