Victor OrtizFormer welterweight titlist Victor Ortiz (30-5-2, 23 KO’s) was arrested Saturday at a Kenny Chesney/Jason Aldean concert in Pasadena, California for assault with a deadly weapon, according to TMZ Sports.

Law enforcement sources were informed by witnesses that Ortiz and his brother Temoc were in attendance for the concert at Rose Bowl Stadium when they got into a verbal altercation with another man, which then led to violence.

The man was either knocked or thrown to the ground – there were no specific details released at the time of this report – and Victor reportedly was seen kicking him while him while he was down.

Cops intervened and arrested both men during the concert for felony assault with a deadly weapon – the weapon ruled as Ortiz’s foot.

Ortiz was booked and released on $30,000 bail. He weighed-in at 160 lbs., not the type of weigh-in he is usually accustomed to.

Ortiz last fought in December against Manuel Perez, a fight in which he won by third-round TKO, but according to Ortiz, “shattered” his left wrist on the final punch of the bout.

Meanwhile, he’s been shooting sitcoms and appearing in movies like “Southpaw.”

It’s unknown at this time when he will be returning to the ring, but a situation like this one certainly doesn’t help.

TMZ Sports reached out to Ortiz, but could not get a hold of him.
