2012 Brazilian Olympic Bronze medalist Yamaguchi Falcao (4-0, 2 KOs) has been added as the co-main event for the April 2 LA FIGHT CLUB event, live on FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes from The Belasco Theater in downtown Los Angeles. Falcao will fight in a six-round middleweight bout against an opponent soon to be announced. Also, rising featherweight and Los Angeles fan favorite Nick Arce (2-0, 2 KOs) will fight in a four-round match hoping to make airtime against Bell’s Carlos Gonzalez (1-6).
Part of Golden Boy Live!, LA FIGHT CLUB made a spectacular premiere on March 6 before a sold-out crowd at The Belasco Theater. The April 2 installment is headlined by East Los Angeles native and boxing legacy Julian “El Camarón” Ramirez (13-0, 8 KOs) facing off against Casas Grandes, Mexico’s Raul “Bule” Hidalgo (23-12, 17 KOs) in a 10-round featherweight bout. Opening up the telecast, two-time Brazilian Olympic team member Everton Lopes (1-0) will make his second professional appearance in a six-round lightweight bout. In the non-televised undercard, Glendora, California’s Joet Gonzalez (8-0, 3 KOs) will fight in a six-round featherweight match against Luis Maldonado (36-14-1, 27 KOs) and Melsik Baghdasaryan will make his professional debut in a four-round welterweight fight. Opponents will be announced.
A 2012 Olympic Bronze medalist and one of the most promising boxers to come from the country of Brazil, Yamaguchi Falcao is now on his quest for professional gold in the middleweight division. Since his professional debut in January 2014, Falcao has put together three consecutive victories over Fernando Najera, Martin Fidel Rios, and Jesus Cruz. In his first fight of 2015, Falcao stopped undefeated newcomer “Sugar” Raymond Terry of Philadelphia in the first round of their scheduled six-round middleweight fight on March 12.
Fighting out of the Westside Boxing Club in Los Angeles, 18-year-old featherweight Nick Arce is a former amateur standout who entered the professional boxing world in style in November of 2014 with a fourth round knockout of Adalbert Valenzuela. Since then the Los Angeles favorite has fought Lyonell Kelly on Feb. 27 winning by second round knockout.

The LA FIGHT CLUB is a monthly boxing series that takes place on the first Thursday of each month on May 7 and June 4. It will showcase the brightest stars in the sport and present these exciting matchups in a nightclub atmosphere with an original setup. The boxing ring will be set on the main floor of the Belasco Theater with on-camera standing room for fans in front of the ring similar to a concert pit, as well as reserved balcony and floor seats. Los Angeles’ own DJ Ray of Big Boy’s Neighborhood will spin music during the fights and fans will be able to dance and mingle with the fighters when the venue converts into a night club, in a VIP experience not matched by any promoter in the industry.
