Montreal, Tuesday, January 7th 2014– InterBox and Groupe Yvon Michel (GYM) revealed today the opponents for Mikael Zewski (22-0-0, 17 KO), Yves Ulysse Jr (Pro Debut) et Sebastien Bouchard (8-0-0, 2 KO), all of whom will be headlining a stacked undercard on Saturday, January 18th 2014 at the Montreal Bell Centre where Lucian Bute (31-1-0, 24 KO) and Jean Pascal (28-2-1, 17 KO) will finally square off in their much anticipated duel.

Mikael Zewski vs Krzysztof Szot

Mikael Zewski (22-0-0, 17 KO) last fought on November 30th, scoring a 3rd round TKO of Ryan Davis. That bout marked Zewski’s first appearance in Quebec in over a year. Zewski will be looking to continue his winning ways as he laces up the gloves against Krzysztof Szot (18-9-1, 5 KO) from Poland. Szot is looking for a second straight win, coming off a unanimous decision win over Alaksandr Abramenko.

Yves Ulysse Junior vs Evaggelos Tsirimokos

Following a decorated amateur career and the signing of a 3-year promotional pact with InterBox, Yves Ulysse Jr. will be making his professional debut against Evaggelos Tsirimokos (6-3-0, 1 KO). Ulysse intends to show his handlers that they made the right choice by backing him, and to assert his place in the pro ranks as a must-watch pro. Tsirimokos, from Belgium, will be looking to ruin the party with a convincing win.

Sebastien Bouchard vs Giuseppe Lauri

Sebastien Bouchard (8-0-0, 2 KO) will be looking to go a perfect 9 for 9 in the pro ranks. Bouchard last fought November 30th in his native Quebec City, beating Mohammed Slidi Slimani by unanimous decision. This will mark Bouchard’s third fight at the Montreal Bell Centre. Bouchard will step into the ring against the experienced Giuseppe Lauri (53-16-0, 31 KO), who will be looking to test Bouchard. Lauri has fought several times in Canada over the last year, notably going the distance with Kevin Bizier.

Eleider Alvarez

Groupe Yvon Michel (GYM) are in discussions with HBO to find a new opponent for Eleider Alvarez (13-0-0, 8 KO). Alvarez was set to fight Thomas Oosthuizen in the semi-final bout on HBO, but Oosthuizen pulled out of the bout. More details to follow shortly.
