In just one week Austin “No Doubt” Trout will take the first step in his comeback when he faces off against Daniel Dawson of Australia on August 22nd in California but before that, Trout has one foe to defeat, the scale.
Today (Aug. 14th) Trout weighed in at 158 pounds, just 4 pounds above the contracted 154 pound limit and is well on track to hitting the target which is something he sees as a bit ridiculous with no title on the line.
“Hit 158lbs today and feeling strong,” said Trout. “Gonna make Dawson pay for insisting on making 154lbs with no title on the line.”
Trout has lost his last two out of five fights, which sound worse than it looks considering the level of opposition that he has faced has been top ten opponents, and he will be looking to make his climb back towards the top within his next couple fights.
