Demetrius Andrade handled his business against his mandatory challenger Liam Williams on Saturday but it was no easy task. Williams got dropped early on in the fight but he showed guts in the ring and took the fight to Andrade. Andrade ended up winning a unanimous decision.
In the post-fight interview when asked about possible unification fights with Charlo and Golovkin, Andrade stated that they should want to fight him. He is in fact undefeated and a champion that alone should help in making those fights happen.
Jermell Charlo on the other hand pulled no punches on Twitter questioning Andrades’s chin and claims that his career is hurting.
“[Motherfucker] signed with the boy across the pond two years after he pulled out the fight [with] a week left in camp, now they willing to take whatever,” Tweeted Charlo. “[Who’s] career hurting now, Charlo’s or Boo Boo? [Motherfucker] know damn well Eddie ain’t [gonna] abide by any of Al’s rules. Best way to protect that weak ass chin.”
