BOXING-articleLargeEight division champion Manny Pacquiao was on hand yesterday to field questions from the press in New York as part of the media tour for his upcoming fight with Chris Algieri on Novemmber 22.

He was asked about Algieri’s size advantage and if he thought that it may present problems for him in the fight. “I know what I’m going to do in the ring. It’s not my first time fighting a taller guy like him,” Pacquiao explained.

Pacquiao hasn’t knocked anyone out in five years and when asked if he could break that drought in this fight he answered, “We’ll see. Yeah we’ll see in November.”

As far as what’s next for Pacquiao should he get past Algieri, Pacquiao revealed a big surprise to the group in attendance. “There are serious negotiations with the Mayweather camp.” When asked for a date of when the fight may take place Pacquiao replied, “Probably by next year.”
