The pay-per-view buy rate for HBO PPV’s Gennady “GGG” Golovkin vs. Daniel Jacobs is in according to LA Times Boxing correspondent, Lance Pugmire.

Per his Twitter account, “Early pay per view report shows @GGGBoxing @DanielJacobsTKO fight had buys ranging from 130k to 150k, according to industry source…”

He also followed up with “The @GGGBoxing camp says final tally of PPV buys will be higher than 150k. Nothing on record from @HBO yet…We know gate revenue at @TheGarden was $3.7 million, higher than $2 million for Lemieux, that @GGGBoxing merchandise, sponsors also higher.”

Was this a success for GGG and does this affect his negotiations with Canelo Alvarez?
