Juan Diaz, Mike AlvaradoFormer world champs and proven in-ring warriors, Juan ‘Baby Bull’ Diaz and ‘Mile High’ Mike Alvarado, will return to action inside the squared circle on the ‘Solo Boxeo Tecate’ card that will take place on Saturday, March 19 at the Arena Theatre in ‘Space City’. Opponents for both Diaz and Alvarado will be announced shortly.

Diaz (40-4, 19 KO’s), who has been crowned on multiple occasions as world monarch in the lightweight division and hopes to continue on the winning route so he can get another shot at a world title, will battle in the main event of the card that will be presented in front of his hometown fans.

“I am proud and excited to be partnering once again with Top Rank to bring world class boxing back to my hometown, the great city of Houston, Texas. It will be an honor and a privilege to fight before all of my fans, friends, and family. On March 19th, the Baby Bull is coming home,” said Diaz.

On the co-featured bout, Alvarado (34-4, 23 KO’s), of Denver, Colorado, a former welterweight world titlist, is seeking redemption and hopes to return to the stellar spot he once occupied in the boxing world, after a few stumbles inside and outside the ring, being the most recent one – a dominant technical knockout loss against Brandon ‘Bam Bam’ Rios – on January of 2015. Alvarado, who has been in multiple ‘Fight of the Year’ candidates, will try to bounce back and give the first step in the right direction on the fight that will start the March 19 UniMas telecast.

The respective fights of these two warriors will be televised from coast to coast in the United States at 11 p.m. ET/PT on UniMas’s ‘Solo Boxeo Tecate’.

Tickets for this presentation of Top Rank, in association with Foreman Boys Promotions, are now on sale at prices of: $100, $60 and $30, plus applicable charges, and can be purchased on the Arena Theatre’s box office, on www.ArenaHouston.com or by calling 713-772-5900.
