ThaBoxingVoice.com just learned that Aaron “Heavy Metal” Coley will now be facing Cromwell Gordon (4-11 4KOs). Coley’s original opponent, Augustine Renteria, had troubles in the regulator department and is unable to compete on Saturday, August 2nd.
Gordon is best known for his 2007 upset win over then unbeaten Oakland prospect Tony Hirsch, who is widely viewed as one of the toughest middleweights around the area. What Gordon may lack in wins he makes up for in power as he can knockout anyone on any given night if the opportunity is presented. For Coley, this will be an evaluate of how he responds to his draw from a few months ago.
