AL Haymon continues signing spree inks Lucian Bute

    Interbox confirm that Lucian Bute (31-2-0, 24 K.-O.) has signed a representation agreement with Al Haymon. The participation of InterBox in the promotion of Lucian Bute’s career will remain unchanged. It is a pleasure for InterBox to work jointly with Al Haymon and his team in the organization of future fights for Lucian. The first fight is planned for the end of this spring.
    InterBox has been working with Lucian since his professionnal debut in 2003. We have worked without rest to help him rise to the summit of his sport, celebrating together his IBF world championship reign at Super Middleweight.     A comeback in the ring
    The upcoming March 14th Gala had been considered as a good starting point for his comeback, but this date proves to be too early for an adequate preparation for Lucian. The new target date for his return to the ring is May or June. More details will be communicated in the following months.
    March 14th : The undercard is starting to take shape.
    InterBox and Main-Events announced at a press conference in New York last week the addition of two undercard bouts for the Sergey Kovalev vs. Jean Pascal March 14th Gala. Steve Cunningham (28-6-0, 13 K.-O.) will face Vyacheslav Glazkov (19-0-0 12, K.-O.) and rising star Joel Diaz Jr (18-0-0, 14 K.-O.) will face Quebecker Kevin Lavallée (13-0-0, 10 K.- O.).
    Cunningham is a veteran of 38 years, who’s been fighting professionnaly for the last 18 years. For the first time of his career, one of his fights will be broadcast live on HBO. Glazkov, still undefeated, will be looking to keep his perfect record. The winner of this fight will become the mandatory challenger to the IBF heavyweight title held by none other than Wladimir Klitschko (63-3-0, 53 K.-O.).
