After two years away from the ring, Alex Torres Rynn returned with a bang.
Rynn fought against another Mexican transplant Jose Luis Zarate Lara on April 30th with the CPBC Lightweight title on the line and Rynn made the most of his opportunity. Rynn floored his opponent and won an entertaining scrap which will open more doors for him in the future.
Rynn is grateful for the opportunity Empire Boxing Promotions has given him and looks forward to working with them in the future.
“I can’t thank Empire Boxing Promotions enough for all their amazing support,” stated Rynn via social media. “Remember I have worked with ESPN on several occasions, I have seen the epitome of what a boxing show is. All I can say is that this young group at Empire has all the potential in the world and yes they put on a great show last night, especially with all the Covid restrictions. Anytime they need me, I am there, no questions asked. Thank you again.”
Rynn was originally slated to take on Mohamed Soumaoro but Soumaoro caught Covid and had to pull out almost a week prior to the fight date. Perhaps that may be Rynn’s next fight if Soumaoro is fully recovered
