Former world titleholder Algenis Mendez talks about Robert Easter Jr.’s size and reach ahead of his stoppage loss to Easter on Friday night in Washington, D.C.
Mendez (23-4-1, 12 KOs) fought valiantly but ultimately got caught by a huge right hand from Easter (17-0, 14 KOs) in the fifth round. He showed tremendous heart just to beat the count but was in no condition to continue; referee William Johnson wisely waved it off.
