At the post-fight press conference following his points victory over Sullivan Barrera, light heavyweight wizard Andre Ward answered a question on how it felt to fight in front of his hometown fans and family.
“Aw man, I was blessed to see the people come out tonight (and) that came out for the weigh in,” Ward said. “And it’s interesting man, they keep saying we ain’t got a fan base but I don’t know about that. I don’t know.” Ward also shared some interesting thoughts on his desire to end his career in the heavyweight division on down the road.
