After a one round destruction of Michael Sprott, upcoming British Heavyweight prospect Anthony Joshua is looking for a bigger 2015. He is set to return on Jan. 31 at the O2 Arena in London and will face American Kevin Johnson (29-6-1, 14 KOs).
“I’m glad to get the year out of the way, it has been a busy one,” Joshua said. “Kevin Johnson is durable and he has got a lot of experience and quite a lot of mouth, so it should be a fun one.”
His promoter Eddie Hearn wants to move Joshua on a steady pace and wants him to challenge for The British title next year.
“We’ll take on Kevin Johnson in January and he will be ready to face anyone in the country next summer,” Hearn said.
