julio-cesar-chavez-03Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. took plenty of shots at his former promoter Bob Arum last week. He told ESPN Deportes that Arum held him back, and he was dissatisfied with the way Top Rank handled his career. He put the onus on Arum for fights that he says never happened and is happy he moved on from Top Rank.

In a video with FightHype, Arum tells the media that Julio Cesar Chavez, “should be ashamed of himself.”

Arum still believes Chavez owes him a fight as he told the media “Yes,” in terms of Chavez’ contractual obligations to Top Rank.

Chavez’ next fight is slated for April 18th on Showtime, but Arum isn’t taking it lightly.

“I don’t know if he fights,” stated Arum “He can announce all he wants. We’ll do what the lawyers tell us to do.”
