Manny Pacquiao last stepped foot in the ring two weeks ago when he took on Brandon Rios in Macau in what was the first step in Pacquiao’s road back to the top. Pacquiao showed off his talent against Rios who allowed Pacquiao to tee off throughout the fight while dishing a bit of punishment out as well. Pacquiao was unable to get a knockout in the fight which was not his fault as Rios is a tough fighter to break down for anyone that steps foot in the ring with him.
Step 2 for Pacquiao will take place this coming April as he makes his return to the ring in Las Vegas. This will mark Pacquiao’s first fight in Vegas since his knockout loss to Juan Manuel Marquez in late 2012.
Top Rank founder and CEO, Bob Arum has stated that Pacquiao will return to the MGM on April 12th in Las Vegas. The opponent is not yet known but the front runners to face the Filipino icon are possible rematches with Tim Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez and even a possible showdown with newly crowned 140 pound champion Ruslan Provodnikov.
