Leading up to a fight anything can happen. You can face an injury the day before a fight, hell even the day of the fight you could face an injury but what do you do about mother nature.

In parts of Calgary and throughout southern Alberta there has been massive flooding everywhere with some places having the water as high as six feet.

“Brawl In The Hall” was a boxing event that was scheduled to take place on June 22nd in Calgary but is more than likely cancelled due to the flooding that has prompted over 100,000 residents to evacuate. Headliner and Mayweather gym alumni Steve “The Dragon” Claggett was ready for his second victory in less than a month but is forced to await what lies ahead. When I asked Steve what was going on in his mind his main focus was on the safety of everyone in the city.

“I’m very disappointed about the cancellation of the fight, I was a hundred percent ready to put on a spectacular performance for my city. Now I’m just hoping that everyone stays safe and that this flood doesn’t escalate anymore. Just wishing everyone the best and hoping that everyone stays safe. As for rescheduling the fight I hope that we can get something going as soon as possible. First thing is everyone’s safety. Then we’ll focus back on the fight once my city beats this problem,” said Claggett.
Further information on the event is soon to come.
