Britain Hart must love to play the role of spoiler as she spoiled Paige VanZant’s bare-knuckle debut last year and put an end to Pearl Gonzalez’ undefeated record in BKFC tonight.
The bout itself was action packed and bloody. Exactly what you want to see in a fight.
It did not take long for the two to get to know each other in the opening round but it was Hart who was more active .
The second round was an intense one. Hart had Gonzalez in a headlock and landed several punishing punches until the referee stepped in to separate the two.
Gonzalez stepped on the gas in the third and had the cleaner, more effective punches which resulted in a bloody cut under Hart’s left eye.
The fourth round was a bit slower when compared to the previous rounds but there were still plenty of exchanges in which you did not know who got the better or who got the worse out of it.
The fifth round had quite a bit of action and the two fighters were heated (as can be seen at the end of every round). Both were swinging at each other until the final bell and Gonzalez went down from a push and it was not called by the official.
In the end the judges scored the fight in favor of Hart 48-47, 48-47, 49-46 in what was a very close, very entertaining scrap that fight fans would love to see again.
